Rhuddlan Castle, Hallowe'en Spectacular
When we first arrived, it was like being in a siege. We were quickly loading all our equipment and weapons into a tower. As across the river, men prepared artillery, in this case, fireworks!

There was a great buzz about the place, fire-eaters practised, stalls were set up and we even had a nice cup of tea, thanks Jane. This time I was accompanied by Dave and Gladys Healey with their various, not very pleasant, cures and remedies, very suitable for Hallowe'en! It got dark very quickly. Luckily I had brought a lantern and some candles because inside the tower it was pitch black. We had a great evening met some nice people, caught up with some old friends from Cwmwd Ial, www.myspace.com/cwmwdial. All was rounded off with a tremendous firework display. I would like to thank Jane, one of the best custodians for the invite. Hopefully do it all again next year. Note to self, must remember to take lots of candles!

Eleri, Meilir and me and thank goodness, someone with a torch.

Meilir's excellent make up. The whole castle was filled with some fantastic characters,
it was like a party at Hogwarts!

Below: I put this pic in for any orb lovers. See how many you can spot.            Below: 'Cheers!' Dave checks a sample.
