Rhuddlan Castle, Hallowe'en Spectacular
When we first arrived, it was like being in a siege. We were quickly loading all our equipment and weapons into a tower. As across the river, men prepared artillery, in this case, fireworks! There was a great buzz about the place, fire-eaters practised, stalls were set up and we even had a nice cup of tea, thanks Jane. This time I was accompanied by Dave and Gladys Healey with their various, not very pleasant, cures and remedies, very suitable for Hallowe'en! It got dark very quickly. Luckily I had brought a lantern and some candles because inside the tower it was pitch black. We had a great evening met some nice people, caught up with some old friends from Cwmwd Ial, www.myspace.com/cwmwdial. All was rounded off with a tremendous firework display. I would like to thank Jane, one of the best custodians for the invite. Hopefully do it all again next year. Note to self, must remember to take lots of candles!
